The Tenant Fee Ban is Positive for Landlords

In a recent article for LandlordZone, Our Managing Director, Jonathan Werth, openly discusses and explains all the long-term positive effects the Tenant Fee Ban will have on the entire industry, particularly landlords.

As we’re all aware, on the 1st of June 2019 The Tenant Fee’s Act is coming into force, prohibiting estate agents  to charge tenants anything else other than the rent and deposit.

With future tenants only having to pay for the rent and deposit during their tenancy, "tenants will then be more positive towards the landlord and estate agent and will be more inclined to renew their tenancy with annual rent increases.” - Jonathan Werth, Managing Director at LiFE

Even though many landlords will feel the pressure of the legislation, the tenant fee ban ultimately offers “ professional landlords  more room to grow and receive a better service from their agents, inevitably setting higher standards across the board for both landlords and agents.”
