I spy with my little eye, a place where property is quite spectacular. Riverside views and quick transport links provide a much sought after location, so no wonder the Secret Intelligence Service is located here. And though we don’t know what happens within those spy-filled walls- we do know that Vauxhall provides great parks, nightlife and other fantastic adventures.

Vauxhall City Farm, located less than a mile away from Vauxhall Station is filled with animals who lovingly call it home. Meet donkeys, alpacas, goats and other wonderful creatures, or even volunteer to look after them for a day. The alpacas even have a claim to fame, appearing behind storm troopers in, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

Located at the farm is also an allotment, where fruit, vegetables and flowers are grown and used in the cookery workshops and other classes taught at the farm where everyone is welcome. Nearby, the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens consist of fields great for kicking that ball around or picnicking in peace. Regular outdoor cinema screenings are held at the park too, so pack some popcorn and confectionary in that picnic. Seasonal events include a spectacular winter ice rink and St George’s festival, celebrating all things historically British.

When a picnic just won’t do, try one of the many bars, restaurants and cafes that Vauxhall has to offer. Dirty Burger may look like a decorated shack complete with wooden furniture, but its understated décor is overshadowed by its brilliant burgers and marvellous milkshakes sure to fill you up. Pop Art Sushi is more colourfully adorned, with neon lights and alternative artwork hung on the walls. Choose from delicious temaki, sashimi and maki dishes amongst various other options, including themed specialities such as, ‘The Warhols’, an exceptional salmon tartare with toasted sesame seeds, avocado puree and shishimi sure to melt in your mouth.

For those who like to create their own cuisine, head to New Covent Garden Market for over 200 stalls stocked to the brim with the freshest ingredients, that also cater for some of London’s best restaurants. Restaurant Quality. Market prices.

With access to excellent food, events and views (and not forgetting those famous alpacas) Vauxhall offers an array of options. The James Bond franchise may claim you only live twice, but with LiFE in Vauxhall, once will be enough.
